E Gaube, CW Poplar Glyphs, digital photography, 10 x 5in (25.4 x 12.7cm), 2016, $25
There are interesting marks on tree bark, some natural and some man-made. I call them glyphs, non-verbal pictographs which tell a story and which are unique to each tree.

Across the Brook
This image is full of memories for me. The view is from the rear barn door of a property we owned and loved in Woodstock, Connecticut for 21 years.
Steel Vines 2
was very taken by the sight of a vigorous poison ivy vine twining around a road sign. The rusted metal and textured vines against the smooth gray metal sign are a compelling image. This the second image.
